Yvonne Kern

I have been Children’s Pastor at St. James for nearly 16 years and am thrilled to be part of what God is doing here! Helping children come to know, love, and follow Jesus has been my passion for over 50 years. After receiving my Education degree from the University of Alberta in the mid-70’s I taught Elementary School in Edmonton for 6 years before staying home to raise my children, while also serving as a volunteer children’s ministry director. I was blessed to be able to return to school in my late 40’s to obtain a Master of Arts in Theology degree from Regent College in Vancouver.

I am so grateful for all the support and encouragement I have received over the years from my amazing family: my hubby Malcolm, my son Justin and his wife Janell, my daughter Emily and her husband Chris, and my youngest, Dee. I am blessed with the four most precious grandkids in the world: Ainslea, Titus, Matthew, and Skylar.  In my free time I enjoy reading, having coffee with friends, and scrapbooking.
