Integration Ministry
The vision for the Integration Ministry is: "Create an environment where people know they are loved by God and by us, and have the opportunity to engage in the community life of St. James."
Guest Support Ministries
The Guest Support Ministries Team aim is to make sure that each and every person gets a warm greeting and is made to feel welcome and "at home" with the St. James family when they come to share in Sunday worship services. The Guest Support Team includes: Greeters who welcome people as they arrive, Ushers who assist people as they take their seats and during the service, and the Information Booth Team to assist people with general enquiries about programs and activities and helps people connect with the right contacts.
Women's Ministry
The Women's Ministry Team plans and hosts three evenings a year where women can get together and be encouraged through personal testimony, worship, friendship, and prayer ministry.
Men's Breakfast Ministry
"Men coming together in fellowship and worship to encourage one another in our Christian faith and faithfulness." The Men's Breakfasts offer a time of good food and good fellowship with time for a guest speaker, a video presentation or a time of sharing together. They are planned for 8 to 10 a.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month, September to May, excepting December.
Knit One, Crochet Two, Quilt Three
This group provides handcrafted, useful items to those in need. Items are donated to St. Edmund's, Calgary Women's Shelter, Sheriff King Home, Foothills Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Louise Dean Centre (for school age mothers and their babies), Emily Follensbee School and other organizations. We welcome knitters, crocheters, and quilters of all experience levels (including no experience). We are child friendly and welcome new members and friends. Come and join us for fun and fellowship. Tuesdays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room. Some members unable to attend on Tuesdays, share in our work by completing projects at home.
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)
MOPS is for all moms with children from birth through kindergarten and is held on the second and fourth Fridays of the month. The programme is designed to give mothers a break and includes lively discussions, creative projects and presentations, and a great community of other moms. Childcare is provided.
Prime Timers
Prime Timers focuses on fellowship activities for those 55 and over. These activities may include potluck lunches, visits to restaurants, guest speakers, game times, and trips to the theatre and as well as any other activity the group may choose. Parish members and friends are welcome.
